Managing Partner
Angel King is the Managing Partner of Everly Funeral Home in
Virginia. She is a licensed funeral
director/embalmer in Virginia and the District of Columbia. She earned her degree in Mortuary Science
from the University of the District of Columbia. She has been serving families for 7+ years and
completed her apprenticeship at Everly Wheatley Funeral Home, also in Virginia. Angel has held several roles in the funeral
profession starting as a funeral assistant, to mentoring and offering funeral
home management consultations. She is
also an adjunct professor in the mortuary science department at her alma mater,
the University of the District of Columbia.
Angel’s commitment and dedication to her families,
community, and the future funeral professionals is in honor of her grandmother.
Her grandmother’s passing inspired a drive in her to bring comfort to those
during difficult times, as she knows how impactful that can be.
Angel is a native of
Michigan and a graduate of Howard University.
She loves to travel and hopes to visit all seven continents. She also enjoys music festivals, foodie
events, and being with family & friends.
Certified Crematory Operator
Minh
joined Everly Funeral Home in 2021 as a funeral assistant and became a
certified crematory operatory soon after.
Born to Vietnamese parents and raised in the Northern Virginia area, his
childhood in Boy Scouts laid the foundation for his compassion, discipline, and
professionalism. He enjoys games,
movies, music, and staying active in life.
Project and Social Media Coordinator
Lauren
Perry is the Project and Social Media Coordinator who manages onsite renovations,
culminates proposal presentations, and offers design feedback to ensure brand
continuity and streamlined in-house documents. As well, Lauren connects Everly
Funeral Home and Cremations to the families and community we serve through
social media platforms. She believes that functional and aesthetically pleasing
design promotes wellness, comfortability, consistency and efficiency. Lauren holds
a Bachelor of Fine Arts for Interior Design, and graduated Best in Show for her
portfolio.
Funeral Assistant – Fleet Coordinator
Ron is a
native Northern Virginian who grew up and still lives in Alexandria, Va.
A graduate
of Mount Vernon High School, he also spent 2 years at Virginia Commonwealth
University in Richmond, VA and 2 years at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
He has been
working at Everly Funeral Home since March of 2020. His background prior to
Everly was in Music and Real Estate. He still plays music part time as a
saxophonist.
Ron is often the person who answers your phone calls
and either helps with your questions or directs you to the person who can best help
in our office. Kind, considerate and thoughtful treatment of all who call or
visit is his goal.
Funeral Assistant
Andrea joined the
Everly Funeral Home team in 2021 as a part-time Funeral Assistant. She was born
and raised in the Dominican Republic, moved to Virginia in 2015 and graduated
from West Springfield High School. She fluently speaks Spanish, French and American
Sign Language (ASL), and is currently studying global diplomacy. Andrea
volunteers at a number of local organizations and enjoys going to local public
events as a pastime. Her enthusiasm, willingness to learn and positive energy
keep us connected to the community we serve.
Funeral Assistant
Ryan is a resident of Suitland, Maryland and a proud veteran of the USMCR and the USCG. He is a graduate of Norfolk State University with a BS degree in Mass Communications. He has been a Job Development Coordinator at the Melwood Horticultural Center in Upper Marlboro, Maryland since 2019. He develops job vacancies and provides information to clients with disabilities, all in relation to work. He has worked in this field for over ten years. He enjoys assisting clients at Melwood with gaining employment and full inclusion within society.
Since joining Everly Funeral Home, he assists and comforts families during the loss of their loved ones as a funeral assistant and care specialist. He enjoys the unity and diversity that he is exposed to in Falls Church.
Funeral Assistant
Skye-Ali Johnson is a
native Washingtonian. She graduated from Richard Wright PCS in 2022. Skye-Ali
is currently attending George Mason University, pursuing a degree in forensic
science within the honors college. She discovered a profound purpose in helping
families navigate the difficult moments of loss and grief. Embracing this
newfound passion, Skye-Ali joined as a funeral assistant at Everly Funeral Home
in February of 2023. Throughout her experiences,
Skye-Ali learned that her role went far beyond logistics. Guided by empathy and
compassion, she became a comforting presence for grieving hearts, offering
solace during life's most challenging times. Driven by the desire to
provide the utmost care and professionalism, Skye-Ali aspires to become an
accredited and licensed mortician and funeral director. Her dedication to the
funeral profession knows no bounds, and she is committed to honoring life's journey
with grace and understanding as a compassionate soul who has found her true
calling in the funeral profession.
Funeral Assistant
Bud joined the Everly team in July 2021 as a funeral assistant. Native to Alexandria, VA, he was an active member of his community through Wesley United Methodist Church. His kind soul, positive attitude and warm heart will be forever missed.
